Instead of Patrick Corbin Day, this season could have Nick Martinez Day. The Reds' right-hander actually has decent numbers for a starting pitcher, but Cincinnati loses more often than not when he pitches.
Martinez is 3-6 on the season and has a sub-4.00 ERA at 3.89. His xERA is solid at 3.61, but the Reds just don't win when he starts games. Cincinnati is 3-9 in Martinez's 12 starts this season. In his last start, Martinez lasted just 4.2 innings after giving up 5 earned runs to the Cubs.
Arizona is one of the best lineups in baseball against RHP. They rank fourth in batting average vs. righties at .259 and they are tied for third in home runs with 71. The Diamondbacks won four straight games before last night's game was suspended in the bottom of the seventh inning.

Cincinnati has lost 4 of its last 5 games and 4 of Martinez's last 6 starts. The DBacks should be able to get to him for enough runs so as not to worry about the Arizona bullpen.
