We have a huge game here with playoff implications on the line as the USC Trojans travel to South Bend, IN to play the Notre Dame Fighting Irish.  Notre Dame is a much different team from the team we saw in the first 2 weeks of the season especially on the defensive side of the ball.  Last 4 weeks they have held opponents to 317 yds of total offense, 3.2 YPC in the ground game and 220 passing YPG.  They hold their opponents in that sample size to 160 yards below their offensive season average.  USC defense is a team that is vulnerable in the passing game, especially on the road giving up 305 passing yards to Purdue and 331 passing yards to Illinois.  Notre Dame did beat USC last year in a relatively tight game 49-35 with some defensive TDs mixed in there but were a 7.5 point road favorite.  Today they are a 9.5/10 point favorite at home but USC is technically a better team this year than they were last season so I would say this is a strong Notre Dame line.  USC is also 2-10 ATS on the road last 12 road games.  I think Notre Dame will be the more motivated team to win this game as USC is coming off a big revenge home win over Michigan and playing in South Bend, east coast, at night in the rain.  Notre Dame should win by 2 scores here.
