Clippers’ head coach Tyronn Lue insists that Leonard's participation in full sessions will be the green light for his return.
The Clippers have been performing well, picking up three victories in their last four games. Their impressive track record includes a nail-biting 114-110 victory over the Memphis Grizzlies on Monday night. Standout players like Norman Powell, James Harden, and Ivica Zubac have been playing well.
On the other end, the Golden State Warriors might be contemplating a day off for their superstar, Stephen Curry. His 38-point contribution could not prevent a Christmas day loss to the Lakers. Curry did display intense grit and determination. In a player-led meeting before the game, Curry emphasized the importance of urgency as the team heads into the next phase of the season.
Then, Curry almost pulled off one of the best comebacks of the season all by himself. He scored eight points in the final 25.7 seconds of the game, including hitting two three-pointers in the final 12.9 seconds. Still, it wasn’t enough and the Warriors lost.
The Warriors, despite their determined efforts, have seen a dip in form recently, suffering losses in five out of their last six games. Golden State has lost 11 of its last 14 games to drop into 10th place in the Western Conference standings.
