DRAKE MAYE OVER 1.5 PASSING TDS
Like the turd that was laid by the Broncos and Raiders last Thursday night, this game could be an ugly one. However, what will make it worth watching is Patriots QB Drake Maye. The second-year quarterback is an MVP contender. He's completing 71.7 percent of his passes and he has 2,555 yards and 19 touchdowns.
Maye has gone Over 1.5 Passing TDs in 8 of the Patriots 10 games this season. That includes the last five games in a row. The only issue with that prop is the price. Most sportsbooks have that prop somewhere between -165 and -175. If you don't like that, consider Maye's Rushing Yards prop.
Tonight, Maye will face a very suspect Jets defense. New York has a decent pass defense, 8th in the NFL actually, but they struggle against the run. The Jets rank 25th against the run allowing over 138 rushing yards per game.
The Jets are also one of the worst when it comes to defending quarterbacks who run the football. Only three teams give up more quarterback rushing yards than the Jets. Each of the last four quarterbacks that the Jets have faced - Dillon Gabriel, Joe Flacco, Bryce Young, and Bo Nix - have all gone Over their Rushing Yards prop against the Jets.
Maye failed to go Over his Rushing Yards prop in each of the last two games, but went way Over in the three games prior. He averages 28.3 rushing yards per game. This total is set below that at 24.5, but the last time it was set at 24.5 Maye ran for 62 against Tennessee.
