Merrill Kelly's surface numbers (9-13, 4.97 ERA) look ugly, but he's a veteran arm at home against a Miami lineup that has been inconsistent. The Marlins have scored 17 runs in their last three contests after a cold stretch, so there's some risk of a hot Miami bat, but the D-backs' bullpen ranks 13th in ERA this season and has posted a 3.56 ERA over the last 30 days — a unit that should hold a lead.
Under 8.5
The total opened at 9.5 and has been bet down hard to 8.5 — a full run of line movement that screams sharp money on the under. The sharp picks table confirms it: 52.38% of sharp money is on the under at a line of 9.0.
The logic holds up. Chase Field plays as a hitter-friendly park (103 overall, 106 for runs), but the pitching matchup and recent form point the other way. Miami's offense has been streaky, and Arizona's bats have been inconsistent — the D-backs rank 27th in OPS at the DH spot (.644) and dead last at first base (.635). When two mediocre offenses meet a pair of starters who can at least limit damage, the under becomes the value side. The market's aggressive move from 9.5 to 8.5 is the tell.

Otto Lopez Over 0.5 Hits
If there's one prop I'm locking in, it's this one. Lopez has been the most reliable bat in Miami's lineup all season, and the numbers are eye-popping. The only issue is the price which is why this could be a great parlay piece.
He's recorded a hit in 100% of his last 5 games, 80% of his last 10, 86.67% of his last 15, and 85% of his last 20. His season hit rate sits at a robust 75%, and he's batting .309 on the season — good for the 98th percentile among qualified hitters. His .338 BABIP (91st percentile) shows he's consistently getting rewarded on contact, and his .283 xAVG (95th percentile) confirms the production is legitimate, not luck-driven.
The matchup is the kicker. Lopez has faced Merrill Kelly and gone 6-for-10 (.600) with a .641 wOBA in their career meetings — he simply sees the ball well against him. He's also been excellent on the road, hitting 72.46% of the time in away games this season. Against a right-hander, Lopez's splits hold up (.298 average vs RHP). This is as close to a formality as a hits prop gets.
Ketel Marte Over 0.5 Hits
The D-backs' catalyst. Marte has been locked in, hitting the over in 100% of his last 5 games, 90% of his last 10, and 86.67% of his last 15. His season hit rate is a solid 68.25%, and he's been even better at home — hitting 71.43% of the time at Chase Field this season.
He's batting .250 on the season with a .276 xAVG (92nd percentile) — the underlying contact quality is better than the raw average suggests. Against Miami pitching, he's hit the over in 66.67% of his last three games against them. At -320 the price is steep, but the recent form (perfect over his last five) and home split justify it. He's the engine of this Arizona lineup.

THE BOTTOM LINE
Arizona wins. The sharp money, the home-field advantage, and the playoff urgency all point to the Diamondbacks.
