Joe Ryan starts this one for the Twins and he is the way better option over the A's Luis Severino. Ryan is 5-2 on the season with a 2.33 ERA. In the month of May, he was outstanding - 3-0 with a 1.86 ERA. Minnesota won 4 of his 5 starts in the month.

Now, the issue for Ryan is pitching at Sutter Health Park. It's a minor league stadium and pitchers have had a difficult time there. Just ask the A's Luis Severino. The A's have been a steaming shit pile recently and they've lost their last 6 games in a row. They are also 1-7 SU in their last 8 at home.

Severino actually has a very respectable 3.89 ERA, but the A's haven't been able to support him. That's why his record is 1-4. At home, it's an entirely different story. Sevie is 0-4 with a sky-high 6.20 ERA. He just hasn't figured out how to get it done at home this season.

Ryan may not have his best start of the season, but he's better than Severino. Plus, the Twins have a major bullpen advantage. The Twins bullpen ranks fifth in terms of ERA this season (3.25). Minnesota is 6-1 SU in the last 7 against the A's and they get another W tonight.
